Crisis Recovery International Volunteers is a nonprofit agency dedicated to assisting survivors of traumatic events by providing humanitarian assistance.

Crisis Recovery International will provide an orientation to the local community, the work setting, your transportation to and from the airport, your room, and breakfast and dinner each day (people usually want to experience eating at a different location for lunch). After work you can relax at your room while dinner is prepared or you can explore the area.

Program Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Be in good health

  • Be willing to experience a new culture

  • Be willing to work on local projects

  • Fee paid in full to Crisis Recovery International

You provide your own:

  • Immunizations

  • Health insurance

  • Airline tickets

  • Passport and visa

  • Spending money

Opportunities to work include:

  • Orphanages

  • Child care centers

  • Schools

  • Health and mental health centers

  • Homes for the elderly

  • Help with construction projects

  • Centers for people with disabilities

  • Other community organizations

The fee you pay to Crisis Recovery International pays for your room and board and on ground transportation. It also pays for administrative costs. But over and above the costs of the program, your fee goes back into the international communities that we serve.
